Role: Assistant, TV Business and Legal Affairs
Compensation: Base ($47,000-$52,000 range) + Overtime ($8,000-$9,750) + Performance-Based Bonus (up to $3,000)

We are seeking a TV Business and Legal Affairs Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to our senior business affairs and Legal team. The ideal candidate should have a JD degree, strong interest in television Business and Legal Affairs, possess exceptional abilities in managing stakeholders, exhibit a high level of competence in navigating matrixed fast-paced environments, and have strong initiative to ensure successful execution of projects. They must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who can handle scheduling across multiple time zones, support high volume calendars, and possess a keen attention to detail. Additionally, the candidate should be eager to take on ad-hoc business affairs and Legal projects. This role requires interaction with high-level internal and external clients in a professional and confidential manner.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Provide executive-level administrative support to Business Affairs/Legal executives, including managing calls, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel and expense reimbursement.
- Maintain and organize various documents and contracts, updating databases and distributing them to internal and external teams as necessary.
- Ensure smooth administrative operations by organizing internal databases, monitoring deal progress for senior team members, and maintaining records of drafts and communications.
Legal Operations
- Update the legal tracker and distribute it across departments for visibility.
- Prepare start paperwork and manage payment process for A-level talent.
- Collate and manage withholding tax documentation for producers.
Project Management
- Respond to urgent requests and proactively collaborate on ad-hoc projects as needed, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1+ year of executive-level support experience, preferably in a business affairs and/or legal setting.
- Strong interest in a career as an attorney and/or executive in the film and TV industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrates a proactive, self-starting approach and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with confidentiality and diplomacy.
Preferred:
- Juris Doctor degree
