The new standalone entity will leverage our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to the people we serve. The Assistant Treasurer, Director – Cash Management and Treasury Operations is a key leadership role in KidneyCo’s Treasury function as an inspiring leader to drive global cash connectivity and insights to enhance cash efficiency across the organization. This position will drive lean banking operations with continuous improvement toward automated, real-time, trusted, and closed-loop clearing system design. The team runs daily cash operations and short-term forecasting for Americas and APAC, global bank account management, the Kyriba bank portal, and other linked cash systems, and collaborates with other teams for banking services connectivity (collections, payments, netting, treasury settlements, controls, and account management) to support KidneyCo’s mission. There is also the potential for project management responsibilities for M&A, divestitures, and continuous centralization of activities.
Your Team
This role reports to the Corporate Treasurer and has 3 direct reports (Americas and APAC Cash Management, EMEA Cash Management, and IC and Global Operations with locations in Deerfield IL, Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Colombia, and Mexico). This position is a member of the Treasury Leadership Team, has a co-leadership role to establish global standards for bank account management with the Associate Director based in Ireland (EMEA cash and Global In-House Bank), establishes standard methodologies with banking partners, and is a process owner for continuous improvement with the payments, payroll, collections, intercompany, cash accounting, GFAM/IT and Treasury teams (investments, debt payments, FX settlements). Payroll is a separate process run by HR.
There is significant complexity to the role given 500 bank accounts at 70 banks in 110 legal entities and 35 currencies. There are many fragmented practices in local countries, mostly in APAC and emerging markets, heavy use of individual bank portals for payments and reference a mix of electronic and manual processing by our systems to the banks. There is a new team in KL and other fragmented local processes with high turnover contributing to significant risk to business continuity.
What you'll be doing
Provides direct Management and oversight to a global team that funds bank accounts, invests excess funds, and checks minimum balance and liquidity requirements. Lead in house banking structure and mechanics along with intercompany lending program supporting market liquidity needs. Team settles payments for large transaction wires, repatriation, intercompany netting, debt payments, FX, and hedging settlements and investments. Significant focus on facilitating payments including for local teams that operate about 200 of our bank accounts using local bank portals.
Bank Account ManagementResponsible for overall bank account structure, service model, and signatory management. Goal to reduce the number of banks globally where possible. Operates accounts in compliance with local statutory and banking requirements including KYC and other regulations. Provides guidance on connectivity protocols for bank communications to/from Kyriba and reduce use of individual portal usage where possible.
Global Process Owner and TransformationManages the Kyriba contract, file connectivity, and any related consulting spend in collaboration with IT. Drives strategy, integration, and process transformation to enable the highest level of automation in banking processes. Works with banking process owners in P2P, C2C, A2R, Payroll, and GFAM to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities to run with lean cash, lowest bank fees, and highest risk reduction. Drives SOX compliance, cash policies, and auditor requests. Manages global relationship banks providing operation services. Drives PMO governance processes, guides organization alignment, leads engagement activities, and is accountable for results.
Business Development SupportParticipates on teams supporting various business development deals to ensure E2E Treasury processes are part of detailed workplans for successful deal execution for divestiture, M&A, and separation management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or country equivalent).
- MBA/CPA/CFA/CTP preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in finance (e.g., bank account or Cash Management, financial planning and analysis, accounting, Treasury Operations, finance decision support, etc.).

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $168,000 - $252,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentive.
