The Gardner School of St. Louis Park is seeking passionate and dedicated Assistant-qualified early childhood teachers to work with our 16 month to 3 year old children.
The Gardner School is a state-of-the-art early childhood program dedicated to providing an exceptional educational program for young children and their families. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and work experience with young children.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans based on each child's needs, academic goals, and curriculum.
- Guide social and emotional skill development
- Collaborate effectively with parents, coworkers, and administrators to create a positive learning environment.
- Ensure the safety of each child.
- Communicate concerns with caregivers using thoughtfulness and understanding, focusing on each child’s strengths.
- Observe and document each child's progress in all developmental areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Read, understand, and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all state agencies.
- Follow the standards and policies for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who have contact with children.
- Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
Assistant Teacher Qualifications
- College credits in education or related fields preferred.
- One year of child care or teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry and hold up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a MN DHS background check.
