Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Provide support and supervision to children during daily activities, including playtime, meals, and naptime.
- Assist with behavior management strategies and techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized plans for children with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Support the lead teacher in maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Help with the preparation and organization of materials and resources for daily activities.
- Assist in documenting children's progress and development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred/ but not essential.
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Familiarity with working with children with special needs.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
