Job Description
The Assistant Spa Manager works alongside Spa Associates at the front desk answering phones, booking appointments, greeting customers and selling memberships and spa packages. In addition, the Assistant Manager ensures smooth spa operations managing schedules, maintaining spa supplies and handling any customer or therapist questions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of a busy spa
- Retail management/sales experience
- Experience in selling memberships is a plus
- A passion for people and sales
- High level of enthusiasm
- Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to payroll, scheduling, inventory, and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to coach while also taking directive from Spa Manager
- Strong organizational/planning and computer skills
- Experience with a booking system is a plus
- Ability to promote the health and wellness benefits of both massage therapy and facials
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days/evenings/weekends/holidays
- Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and product line
- Demonstrated ability to balance coaching/mentoring with disciplining
