Job description

POSITION OBJECTIVE


Support the Rooms Division to achieve the smooth running of the daily operation and exceeding guest expectations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Assists with all training of all departments within the Rooms Division
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Front Office, Guest Servies, Bellstaff, Concierge, Housekeeping and Laundry departments, and Health Club.
  • Ensure that all guests receive the highest level of service at all times
  • Ensure that All Preferred Hotels standards are met for all the Rooms Department
  • Revise and monitor an annual budget.
  • Manage labor control and operating expenses
  • Assist where needed with any Departmental issues or coaching and counseling
  • Help the appointed Manager if needed with the day to day running of their respective department.
  • Attend departmental line ups when required
  • Monitor and carry out departmental reviews with the appointed manager.
  • Assist with MOD duties.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


  • Luxury hotel experience in a management position
  • Desired to have a degree in Hospitality Management
  • Knowledge of Opera, Micros and HOTSOS, is not required but desirable.
  • Front Desk and housekeeping experience desirable


REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
  • Must be able to stay calm under pressure
  • Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must be flexible in the hours that they can work


Benefits for full-time employees include but are not limited to the following with an employee contribution: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-term Disability, and Long-term Disability after 90 days of employment. Employer-provided Basic Life Insurance and Basic AD&D are provided after 90 days of employment. 401K eligibility is available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment, and part-time employees after working 1000 total hours. Currently, 401K Match is $0.50 on the $1.00 of an employee’s contribution up to 6%; there is a 5-year vesting period. Applications for all positions are accepted on an ongoing basis.
