Responsibilities include assisting clients as well as supporting veterinarians/technicians in all aspects to ensure our patients receive the care and attention needed during their entire visit. Effective communication, attention to detail and working as a team are integral to success. The ideal candidate should have a particular affinity for helping clients, as we would love to find a team member that would primarily be helping in Exam Rooms. Responsibilities include: triage patients, animal restraint and handling, run and maintain lab equipment, assist with collection/prepare lab samples for submission to reference labs, maintain the pharmacy, prepare prescriptions, administer patient medications and treatments as directed, assist in surgery preparation and recovery, assist with minor procedures, prepare/sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, take radiographs, maintain accurate medical records, clean and maintain all areas of the hospital, and support and educate clients. This candidate should also be willing to help with any other tasks involved in the day-to-day operations such as answering and routing phone calls, checking in patients at the front desk, keeping client information up to date, and medical record management. Telephone and computer skills are necessary. As long as there is a willingness to learn new techniques and an ability to be adaptable to change, we are always willing to train the right individual. We can tailor an individualized training program to advance skills and job position over time. We offer paid training classes in veterinary technical skills as well as management skills. We provide preventive care, urgent care, surgeries, dental procedures, radiographs, ultrasound, acupuncture, laser treatments, and a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures. We offer many in-house tests and make use of the country’s best external laboratories. We also work closely with referral hospitals when special diagnostic or surgical procedures are required. Our facility includes an in-hospital surgery suite, a radiology suite with digital radiograph and ultrasound capabilities, a pharmacy for our patients, a treatment area complete with a wet table for dentistry and dental radiographs, an isolation ward, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.
