Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description:

The beautiful and iconic Mission Inn Riverside is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for this very busy and highly rated destination resort. This amazing resort is a destination property and will require a highly experienced luxury background.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support Restaurant Managers in providing consistent leadership and oversight of daily operations and planning related to one or more food & beverage outlets. They will deliver superior food and beverage service while maximizing guest satisfaction through proactive support of leaderships expectations, and a keen understanding of the Mission Inn’s standards. This role will lead by example, be hands on, visible, and uplift staff while ensuring the operation runs smoothly. Hotel experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
• Ensure high-quality food and beverage service is provided to customers.
• Train and supervise restaurant staff, including waitstaff, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Implement and enforce food safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menu offerings.
• Manage restaurant budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide training opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is required.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of Aloha POS system or similar restaurant management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
