The Hotel:
A stunning fusion of modern design with stylish oriental flair, Mandarin Oriental, New York features 244 elegant guestrooms and suites - all with breath-taking views of Manhattan and Five-Star hospitality. Luxurious amenities include MO Lounge, all-day dining overlooking Central Park and the Manhattan skyline; a 14,500 square-foot Five-Star Mandarin Oriental Spa ; and a state-of-the-art fitness center with a 75-foot lap pool. In addition, there is premium meeting and event space, including a 6,000 square-foot pillar-less ballroom with three walls of windows overlooking Central Park. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Major responsibilities
    • At the direction of the Management and the Residential Concierge, apply responsibilities toward the general maintenance and upkeep of owner's homes and values.
    • Coordinate and organize the daily activities and requests of all residents.
    • Offer a warm, sincere and personalized welcome to all residents.
    • Create special conversations with residents which identify personal preferences in order to record in each guest's profile history.
    • Have an in depth knowledge of directions, travel time, cost and various forms of transportation.
    • Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about city highlights.
    • Demonstrate first hand knowledge of the recommendations with thorough research.
    • Be proactive and anticipate the complete requirements to make the experience a success.
    • Assist the Residential Concierge in the responsibilities away from the desk, including, but not limited to the pick-up and delivery of luggage, groceries, linens, packages, dry-cleaning, messages, tickets, arranging house car and other items.
    • Maintain and constantly update the record of the above activities in conjunction with the Residential Concierge.
    • Inquire as to the success or enjoyment of the recommendations made.
    • Maintain a consistent and sufficient level of brochures, maps and handouts.
    • Maintain a daily record (via software) of all guest requests, reservations and confirmations for guests.
    • Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving guests.
    • Be aware of all daily events in the hotel and within Residence.
    • Assist Concierge on duty with any resident request.
    • Arrange tickets for theatre, sporting events and local attractions.
    • Answer the phone and make reservations, take, and distribute messages or redirect calls.
    • Handling and organizing resident keys thru our KeyTrak System.
    • Develop working knowledge of our Residential Systems, including Alice, and Building Link, including SV3 Loading Dock System and keep management apprised of any issues regarding these.
    • Maintain vigilance and awareness of the Desk security monitors when possible.
    • Arrange for package delivery and pickup for residents.
    • Record and provide follow-up procedures for residential work orders.
    • Communicate all important details to management and colleagues.
    • Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing deliveries and packages.
    • Maintain a clean, neat and organized desk.
    • Facilitate the handling of resident emails, fax documents and other administrative requests.
    • Maintain the presentation standards of a 5 Star Lobby - including light vacuuming and dusting.
    • Respond to all resident needs and requests - including making deliveries, pickups and drop-offs.
    • Other activities as deemed appropriate by Residential Management.
  • Requirements:
    • Able to communicate written and spoken English
    • Excellent overall communication skills
    • Basic Computer Skills
    • Ability in multitasking and time-management skills
    • Able to work well in a Team Environment
    • Able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
    • Must be able to stand, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, grasp and reach items of various sizes, shapes and weights.
    • Must be professional and possess excellent presentation, communication, organization and effective time-management skills
    • Must have very strong knowledge of the restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatres, Broadway shows and attractions in New York City.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. for short distances, usually luggage or groceries, and manage a fully loaded bell-cart.
    • Must be mobile and able to make deliveries, assist residents and colleagues, and assist the operation wherever necessary.
    • Flexible schedules and hours. Willingness to work on weekends & holidays is required.
    • Multi-lingual preferred

    Pay:
    Pay: $23.90 - $31.87/hourly.
