Program:820 Residential Stabilization and Rehabilitation
Salary range: $80-86K annually
Overview of Program: The Program is an OASAS part 820 Residential stabilization and rehabilitation services facility. Participants receive substance use services in accordance with OASAS guidelines. Clients in the program receive services from LPN's, RN's, occupational therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and primary care and addiction medicine doctors. The program is designed as a holistic and highly individualized model of treatment and focuses on client-centered and trauma-informed approaches to helping people with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Overview of position: Under the general guidance and in collaboration with the Program Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for the oversight and management of the overall day-to-day functioning of the program. The AD is also responsible for providing direct supervision to the CASAC counselors and case managers of the program. The AD will also work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including members from occupational therapy, addiction medicine, psychiatry, peer support services, nursing staff and vocational support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical supervision of all counseling staff and perform reviews of all relevant documentation, as per OASAS guidelines.
- Develop and maintain counselors' work schedule and oversee daily case conferences.
- Identify client group topics and schedule in collaboration with social worker and OT.
- Perform individual supervision with counselors and peer support staff.
- Ensure that a quality of service is provided and that counselors attend required trainings.
- Assist with hiring and other personnel matters for the clinical team.
- Help develop and participate in all staff and team meetings, and in-service trainings.
- Liaison with other Project Renewal programs and outside referral sources.
- Collaborate with completion of monthly quality assurance and OASAS requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and with nursing leadership to insure effective service delivery.
- Oversight of admissions and discharges and the correlated documentation for both programs.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree; Advanced-level CASAC or equivalent QHP qualification (Credentialed to provide clinical supervision under OASAS guidelines) preferred. Prior supervisory experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience with case management.
- Strong knowledge of principles of Harm Reduction.
- Knowledge of residential program regulations under OASAS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of the role of Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT/MOUD) in treating SUD.
