Your Day to Day
  • Prepare, review, maintain and distribute all required project documentation.
  • Monitors and records jobsite activity in accordance with required contractual frequency.
  • Document daily construction activities and verify that "as-built" drawings are kept current.
  • Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate action based upon contract specifications.
  • Reviews the project schedule and assists the Project Superintendent in maintaining the schedule, as requested. Understand how crew assignment support and impact the project schedule.
  • Assists the Project Superintendent in the maintenance of effective cost control mechanisms for the project.
  • Manages the quality control program as outlined in the project procedures manual.
  • Builds employee skills and competencies through frequent, real-time coaching and sharing specific, actionable knowledge with team members through, daily touch points and monthly one-on-one coaching sessions. Acts as an advocate for employees by identifying and extending development opportunities that support team members' progress and success.
  • Lead safe work initiatives on the job site, administer safety programs (MACHO, etc.), track and report results. Set safety standards/requirements for the project. Inspect and monitor compliance.
  • Review, understand and monitor material and equipment budgets. Monitor project costs; identify and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Assist Foremen in planning the job, ordering materials, and manpower.
  • Assist Project Engineers in understanding contract documents and preparing change orders.
  • Assist in development of the detailed critical path schedule.
  • Accountable for all field equipment including lifts, tools, radios, and all other field equipment.
  • Daily work assignments / hours may vary based on project requirements.
  • Perform all other duties, as needed.

Education & Experience
Four-year Construction Management or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction and/or engineering industry
