Brief Statement of DutiesBrief Statement of Duties:This 9-month tenure track faculty position includes teaching undergraduate applied lessons in piano, class piano, piano pedagogy, and instructing other courses as needed by the Department of Music. Includes accompanying and performance-based collaboration as needed. This is a campus based position.
Minimum QualificationsRequired Education:Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree

Required Specialized Training/Certifications:Required Minimum Work Experience:Three (3) years demonstrated excellence in piano pedagogy and teaching at the collegiate level.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills; ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and guest artists from diverse backgrounds; ability to work in a collaborative performance role as accompanist; a record of, or potential for success, with scholarly or creative activity in the field of music.
Additional Desirable QualificationsAdditional Desirable Qualifications:Terminal degree in piano or piano pedagogy. Documented success in teaching courses in class piano, piano pedagogy, and piano literature in an academic setting. Proven success or evidence for future success in recruiting music majors. Demonstrated accomplishments in collaborative performance and accompanying. Evidence of sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, LGBTQ+ and ethnic backgrouns of staff and students.
