Advise students as directed, participate in outcomes assessment as directed, other relevant duties as directed. This is a campus based position. Minimum QualificationsRequired Education: Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree Discipline / Degree Area: Computer Science or Computer Engineering Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Applicants for an appointment at the Assistant Professor level must have a Ph.D. from an accredited university at the time of hire. Required Minimum Work Experience: Evidence of teaching experience at the collegiate or secondary level (e.g. a TA or instructor position). Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills.
Commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well with an instructional team, including but not limited to fellow instructors and assistants.
Ability to develop and deliver curriculum.
Ability to meet the demands of the position in a timely manner.
Ability to assess student-learning outcomes.
Ability to manage time.
Commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education and demonstration of excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Potential to be an active scholar in the field of Computer Science. Additional Desirable QualificationsAdditional Desirable Qualifications: The involvement of undergraduates in research is especially encouraged.
A willingness to serve outside the classroom in the form of student mentoring, supervising graduate theses and projects, industry relations, quality assessment or other related activities is desired.
Experience with computer science course development and/or curriculum design is also desirable.
Active teaching experience at the university level is preferable compared to experience as a grader, tutor,
