Additional Position Information:
Required: A PhD in Computer science, Computer Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution is required at the start of employment.
Preferred: College-level teaching or other professional training experience and any combination of the following certifications: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MTA, CCENT, CEH, Network+, Security+ or CCNA with a current transcript on file with Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco.
One or more years of industrial network technology experience with Routers, Switches and Servers and Computers.
Willingness to design and implement hardware and software used in class.
Ability to adapting and using new instructional technologies.
Familiar with few programming languages and network automation programming.
Teaching and Research Requirements: Ability to teach existing courses, as well as teach/develop elective courses in their own area of expertise. Engage in professional development and scholarly activities.
The Department of Computer Science and Computer Information Systems is seeking applicants for a full-time (9-month renewable) non-tenure track position in the Computer Information Systems Networking degree option. The primary focus of this position is teaching and preparing students for professional careers. Research is not required. Focus teaching areas are in computer networking, security, cloud computing and Internet-of-Things (IoT). Other responsibilities include curriculum development, engaging in professional development and scholarly activities, and providing service to the program area, department, college, university, and the community. The successful candidate will be committed to acquiring or maintaining professional and instructor certifications.
The start date of this position is Fall 2024.

The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
