Job description

Assistant Professor of Graduate Psychology

To help support the work of Chatham University, we have a Fall, 2024 tenure-track opening for an Assistant Professor of Graduate Psychology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, advising, and conducting research in our MPCAC-accredited MS in Counseling Psychology and our APA-accredited PsyD in Counseling Psychology programs.
  • Chairing and serving on dissertation committees.
  • Evaluating comprehensive examinations.
  • Performing admissions activities including student recruitment and interviewing, and engaging in program, university, and professional service activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an earned Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology (preferred) or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and be licensed or license eligible in Pennsylvania.
  • Candidates should have a clearly articulated research agenda that is consistent with the values and practice of counseling psychology.
  • Interest and expertise in strength-based and positive approaches is desired.
