Salary Minimum $62,260 Salary Maximum $94,705+ DOE Salary Type Annual Bargaining Unit/Plan 209, IFO Job Description - Teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester
- Primary responsibility for teaching introductory global survey courses, upper-level Art History courses, and the capstone seminar (Contemporary Art, Design, and Theory)
- Additional teaching responsibilities assigned based on professional background and expertise
- Foster the development of department curriculum, Art History Major, Minor and Certificates within the context of the School of Art
- Active participation in scholarly/creative activities and professional organizations
- Other responsibilities include mentoring students and student projects, portfolio reviews, student academic advising, and service to the department, university, and community
- Maintaining standards and assessments for Art History classes designated as Liberal Arts & Sciences Curriculum (LASC/Generals) courses and Writing Intensive designated courses
- Support Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just
- Ph.D. in Art History
- Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching excellence
- Demonstrated record and commitment to scholarly activities
- 2+ years of teaching experience beyond T.A.
- Ability to teach and/or interest in developing courses that align with candidate expertise and departmental objectives
- Knowledge of contemporary artistic studio production methods and media
- Demonstrated commitment to diverse, equitable, and inclusive pedagogy, and an ability to work successfully with students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds, including sensitivity to their needs and concerns
- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as a team
