Overview:
The Multi-Property Sales Manager will represent a specific number of hotels within the High Desert Hotels portfolio.
As the Sales Manager, this person will be the main point of contact throughout all stages of the client’s booking process. This person will be working closely with their Regional Manager and each hotel's General Manager to ensure every expectation of every group is properly communicated and executed. This candidate must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time at the beginning, and then travel should slow down to approximately 30% of the time. Expected hours are an average of 45 per week however, it can be up to 60 hours per week as needed. The perfect candidate will conduct sales calls, locate leads, create attractive group proposals and contract agreements, meet specific rate requirements set by the Regional Manager and Revenue Manager. Having timely follow up, and the ability to communicate in detail will be very important. A heavy emphasis on being extremely organized and detail oriented is a must.
The Sales Manager must adhere to all brand specific requirements and management requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Understands how to perform all the responsibilities of a sale from beginning to end.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager regarding sales strategies and how to increase overall revenues by following a sales plan.
- Participate in revenue calls and strategy planning with corporate and upper management.
- Understanding of how to negotiate and create contracts.
- Generate leads through prospecting and solicitation calls.
- Conduct outside sales calls.
- Become brand certified for the sales department.
- Attend sales trainings and seminars to better achieve goals.
- Be aware of area happenings and potential future growth.
- Meet or exceed set sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Attend annual conferences that pertain to the sales teams.
- Schedule and conduct on-site sales calls as needed.
- Coordinate sales blitz with Regional and Corporate team as needed.
- Attend area after hours events to network and get the hotel’s name out in the community.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College degree in Hospitality Management, or Business Administration a plus.
- 2-3 years of previous sales experience.
- 2-3 years of exceeding progressive sales goals.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Tradeshow and Networking experience.
- Ability to work independently and achieve goals.
- Experience with standard office equipment and software.
- Collaboration in working with a team to set strategic plans.
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proper telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays when needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Reports to:
This position will report directly to their Regional Manager and work closely with each hotel's General Manager. The candidate must be extremely organized and excellent at multi-tasking working with multiple hotels and management teams.
