Description of Duties:
Title: Assistant Planner
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary Range*: $60k-$65k
Location: Onsite Van Nuys, CA Hybrid (in office minimum of 3 days/week)
We are seeking an LA based Assistant Planner. You’ll be joining a company that’s inclusive and celebrates multiple approaches and views as we believe diversity drives creativity and growth. The Assistant Planner will play a pivotal role in driving our brand's success by supporting ambitious sales and margin goals. You'll collaborate closely with our team to develop and execute optimal omni-channel Open-To-Buy (OTB) and inventory management strategies, ensuring we exceed sales targets. With a deep understanding of the DÔEN brand vision and value proposition, you'll align all planning and decision-making processes accordingly, ensuring our strategies resonate with our brand identity. In this role, you'll be empowered to continuously refine processes, demonstrating flexibility and reactivity in line with our leadership's vision, while driving ongoing process improvement initiatives within our small, dynamic department. Your analytical prowess will be crucial as you provide invaluable support to the VP of Merchandising & Planning, offering key insights to inform strategic decision-making. Below is a summary, but not an exclusive list of responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Planning
Actualize weekly and monthly reports, provide recaps to management team as well as Merchandising team and store managers
Weekly monitoring of omni-channel inventory, suggest changes to maximize revenue
Prepare for and present in monthly store OTB meetings
Support in planning of seasonal markdowns
Support in planning of sample sales, including communication with our external partner
Provide Merchandising team with optimal size breakdowns based on sales analysis
Monitor sales and inventory for Core product, requesting replenishment as needed
Analyze category performance, putting forth suggestions to influence seasonal OTB
Develop store OTB and weekly/monthly allocation strategies based on performance and available inventory
Create and maintain Global Seasonal Projections files
Support in optimization of Business Intelligence tool, acting as the point of contact with their team
Drive the development and implementation of innovative processes to enhance departmental workflow and streamline efficiency.
Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Marketing & Communications, Wholesale, Retail Stores and Operations, to ensure seamless operations and alignment of product strategies.
Support the VP of Merchandising/Planning in preparing for key business meetings, including assortment planning, line reviews, financial planning, and email calendar planning.
Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment

Allocation
Collaborate with Merchandising team and store managers to develop and implement seasonal store allocation strategies
Analyze selling by store on a category, size and style level
Biweekly replenishment of store inventory and upload of transfers into ERP system
Work with Distribution Center team to ensure timely transfer of inventory

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in a Planning or Allocation role(s)
Bachelor’s Degree required
Must be highly proficient in intermediate Excel (vlookup, pivot tables)
Previous experience managing an Open to Buy / inventory budget
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
Periods sitting at a desk, typing and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
