The goal of the Assistant Coordinator position is to train and grow into the month of coordination position. They will have the opportunity to listen in on onboarding meetings and participate in various stages of the full wedding planning process. They will be paid hourly at a starting rate of $15 an hour paid weekly plus tips. If the appropriate experience is gained by the end of the 2024 wedding season, the assistant coordinator will be the first to be considered for the month of coordinator position during the 2025 wedding season.
Duties of Assistant Coordinator.
- Assisting in overseeing with day-of setup, including vendor management and client decor setup
- Assisting and overseeing ceremony and reception setup
- Assisting VIPs as needed
- Assisting with providing overall guest direction and flow
- Assisting with vendor communication and consistency
- Assisting with timeline coordination
- General troubleshooting
- Assisting and overseeing event clean up
- Posting on social media during and after events
- Taking on various tasks at various stages of the wedding planning process to streamline workflow
- Occasionally spearheading the timeline of events, processional or rehearsal under supervision for training purposes
- Helping other SG staff when there is down time during the event.
A desirable candidate would be someone who possesses the qualities of being both organized and creative. Ideally the person in this role would be interested in pursuing a career in the wedding industry! Every wedding is different and specific, so the ability to follow direction is key. Stone Garden is always expanding, so there will be the opportunity to move up to Wedding Planner in time.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
