Job Description
The ASSISTANT OPERATOR will be responsible for maintaining alignment with production planning and executing a robust warehouse management process that keeps equipment efficiently supplied with proper raw materials. Retrieval and disposition of raw materials and finished production. (Diversity of dimensional lumber) This should also include providing the proper identification, labeling and packaging of Incoming, W.I.P. (Work In Process) and Finished, Re-worked and off quality material. Perform product sampling, Unplug drains/sample points, Switch and clean pumps and strainers when necessary. Perform weekly audits as scheduled. Work on weekly departmental audit findings. Disposition empty totes to the warehouse. Log downtime or processing information to communicate daily activities in log books and forms.
The job will provide the proper performance to meet and exceed the Effectiveness Criteria.
In addition, it will be the responsibility of the ASSITANT OPERATOR to maintain credible transactions by achieving 100% accuracy of physical inventory counting and system transactions. During the scanning and locating of Input and Output materials constant follow up and verification should be implemented
