HOW THIS ROLE IMPACTS COASTAL
As an Assistant Operations Manager, you and your team will work with internal and external teams and Bank customers to provide customer support for deposit operations programs. Additionally, you'll work with the Operations Manager to coordinate and direct daily processing activities in the Deposit Operations Department and Electronic Payments Department.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT COASTAL
The Assistant Operations Manager will have a specialized emphasis on leading their team in processing Account Servicing, Item Processing, Compliance, Legal Processing, Exception Processing, New Account Review, Wire Processing, ACH Processing, Debit Card Processing, and IRA/CD Processing. In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operational tasks in the Deposit Operations Department and Electronic Payment Department.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Maintain a thorough understanding and proficiency in all daily operational tasks in each functional area of the Deposit Operations Department and Electronic Payments Department.
- Provide backup support for each area of the department.
- Provide outstanding customer service to our internal partners and external customers.
- Assist in monitoring the reconciliation of all accounts and General ledgers assigned to Operations, including certifications of those accounts.
- Assist in monitoring and guiding the Deposit Operations and Electronic Payments departments.
- Provide an escalation point for both Deposit Operations and Electronic Payments.
- Provide ongoing training and career development.
- Adheres to all compliance and regulations.
- Create a learning environment within the team.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent preferred.
- Five to Seven years related experience and/or training with Operational emphasis preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a leadership role preferred.
