Job Description
The Assistant Operations Manager will provide critical support to the operations of the West Chicago facility. This position is expected to assist with leading a small team of experienced warehouse and fulfillment personnel. In this role, you will be responsible for workflow management through communication with the team and other internal/external parties, and demonstrating excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills.

JOB SUMMARY
• Assist in production scheduling, including generating required paperwork and recording output accurately
• Schedule all outbound shipments to customers, 3PL and suppliers
• Schedule inbound freight deliveries from suppliers, 3PL and third-party warehouses
• Generate BOL’s and all shipping documents and record all pertinent information
• Assist with incoming QA inspection of all products and packaging when needed
• Responsible for unloading trucks, accepting deliveries, loading outbound freight when needed
• Participate in the daily physical cycle count process and reconciliation of adjustments in the inventory system
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment throughout the facility by adhering to safety and quality policies and procedures
• Provide support to the Senior Operations Manager in all daily vital tasks
• Able to provide appropriate levels of support when the Senior Operations Manager is absent from the facility
Requirements:EXPECTATIONS
• High school diploma plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in food processing and continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, and superior Excel capabilities
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and understanding of lot code compliance for traceability
• Ability to multitask and deal with multiple competing projects at the same time
• A strong desire to lead, mentor and coach others with a minimum of 2 years of experience supervising/team leadership
• Able to climb stairs, push or pull 50 lbs, bend, twist, sit for long periods of time, and stand for long periods of time
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
