We are a growing group psychotherapy practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients. With a focus on behavioral health, we strive to make a positive impact on individuals' lives every day. Currently, we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Medical Biller.
Position:
Assistant Medical Biller (25-30 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
(under supervision of billing director)
- Handle full cycle medical billing processes, including but not limited to billing, coding review, accounts receivable, and denial management.
- Maintain aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Communicate with payors over the phone to resolve payment discrepancies and facilitate claims processing.
- Process 2nd insurance claims and navigate payor portals effectively.
- Collaborate with the billing director to maximize revenue and streamline billing operations.
- Learn and apply behavioral health billing practices and CPT codes.
- Proactively identify and implement solutions to prevent future claim denials.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and payors.
- Other front office duties, such assisting with scheduling, as needed (15%)
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn behavioral health billing practices and CPT codes.
- Ability to effectively communicate with payors and clients over the phone.
- Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience using payor portals (preferred).
- Prior experience in medical billing (preferred).
