JOB TITLE:Assistant Marketing Associate
REPORTS TO: Director of Communications and Membership
SCHEDULE: Up to 30 hours per week. Potential to move to a full-time position. Days/times will vary based on the event schedule and will include weekends and some holidays.
COMPENSATION: $20-$22/hr
BENEFITS: Golf privileges, meals, end-of-year bonus, potential for increased benefits, and opportunities for professional development and growth within the association.
Necessary equipment will be provided.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

- You live and breathe all things social media, digital marketing, and online content creation.
Who we are:
- Burning Tree Country Club is, first and foremost, a private golf club that places high importance on the creation of an open and family oriented environment.
- The club was founded in 1962.
- Our amenities include an 18-hole golf course which has hosted US Open Qualifiers and Met PGA events, an 8-lane 25-meter pool with a diving well, Har-Tru tennis courts, a platform tennis complex, and multiple member and event dining options. We have active junior programs in golf, tennis and aquatics and offer a summer camp.
- We take pride in our daily ala carte service, as well as our first class events created by our Events & Banquets Team.
- Our Food & Beverage department incudes various a la carte outlets (indoors and outdoors; i.e. The Grille Room, Founders Bar, Patio and Salons), catering to all members and guests needs according to established rules and etiquette.
As the Assistant Marketing Associate, you will support our Director of Membership & Communication, and be our onsite representative of the Communications Department. You will act as an ambassador for our Club brand by maintaining a professional presence at the Club’s events and performing various marketing/communications duties in support of Club member social events.
The Essentials
- Assist with design, production and placement of flyers, special menus, and other print marketing items.
- Responsible for the collection and organization of photos and media from events and activities.
- Assist with creating online content using photos and videos from Club events and activities.
- Maintain and update website content.
- Maintain, create, and update digital signage.
- Assist with the planning and execution of events, from a communications/marketing standpoint.
- Must be available various hours, depending on scheduled Club events, in order to collect content.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Must be available for weekly meetings.
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently when necessary, but also able to be a collaborative team member.

The Standards
- Associate / bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications required.
- Private club experience preferred but not mandatory. Social media marketing/content creation experience required.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and videography programs preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and creative thinking.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Versatile and able to quickly establish positive rapport with supervisor, coworkers, and members alike, to create a friendly and professional atmosphere.
