Job Summary:Assists in managing a single department or multiple small departments providing ambulatory patient care services by supervising daily operations and patient care activities. Ensures staff provides high-quality, accessible, cost-effective care and patient-focused services to members across the continuum which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Implements and supervises the maintenance of clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development. Assists in integrating services/operations with nursing standards of practice, service priorities, and performance/outcome measures, as well as with business, departmental, and organizational goals/objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises daily operations and service delivery.
- Ensures staff provides high-quality care and complies with relevant regulations.
- Implements and maintains patient care and quality service standards to meet client expectations.
- Acts as patient advocate, resolving care issues.
- Recommends, implements, and evaluates processes to enhance systems and patient care outcomes.
- Assists in budget development and resource management.
- Monitors financial performance, identifies cost-saving strategies, and enhances care quality.
- Determines department staff requirements and oversees recruitment, training, and development.
- Assists in staff development initiatives.
- Supervises policy implementation to align with organizational goals.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals in service delivery and departmental operations.
- Manages human resources, labor relations, safety, and risk management issues.
- 2+ years of experience in Ambulatory Care or healthcare leadership.
- Completion of relevant postgraduate fellowship or equivalent education.
- Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support certification.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Clinical specialization in relevant area.
- Clinical supervisory experience.
