Position: Assistant Gymnastics Coach

Compensation: Stipend position per current bargaining unit contract

Wethersfield High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to serve as an Assistant Gymnastics Coach for this winter season. The assistant coach will provide guidance and direction to our gymnastics team under the leadership of our Head Gymnastics Coach. The chosen coach will be responsible for teaching and implementing gymnastics routines and skills, observing and spotting athletes as they perform on various apparatus, developing and honing participant fundamentals, choreographing routines, evaluating progress and making recommendations for improvement, and teaching the sport with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm.
This position is vital to our school as the incumbent has regular and constant interaction with our students, parents/families and community. To be considered, candidates must hold all required certifications and trainings and must have prior experience coaching in the sport. Additionally, candidates must be available to attend after school, evening and weekend practices/games as dictated by the athletic department.
