We are seeking an Assistant General Manager with experience in directing daily business operations. The AGM is responsible for managing associates, assigning specific tasks, monitoring store level performance, coaching, and developing subordinates. For an AGM to be effective in their duties, he or she must possess the necessary qualifications.
AGMs must be able to motivate and influence staff positively, particularly during times when morale is low. The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong leadership and organizational skills. An effective AGM should be both firm and approachable. The position is non-exempt and is based on an hourly rate.
Requirements:
- 1 year of job-related experience in low volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related experience as a supervisor, lead, or entry-level manager
- Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conducts and coordinates on-the-job training for new Team Members, and ensures all associates receive basic skills training to perform their jobs
- Consistently and creatively motivates Team Members to maintain our customer service scores
- Consistently provides support, coaching and encouragement necessary to achieve business goals
- Maintains all front-of-house and/or back-of-house facilities, ensuring that the store is clean and organized
- Ensures that all equipment is being cleaned & maintained appropriately, and that safety & security procedures are being followed
- Prepares daily orders, ensures supplies are in stock or assist with ordering supplies
- Assigns work tasks and activities, prepares schedules, and ensures that all shifts are covered

Schedule:
- Store hours are Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday - Saturday 8 a.m. - midnight. Closed Sundays
- Assistant General Manager on-site hours will start high as we open the store and get systems worked out, but if managed well should be reduced to a typical 40-hour workweek.
