JOB OVERVIEW

The Front Desk Manager manages the overall delivery of core guest services from the front desk (guest reservation and registration, arrival and departure, shuttle service, and luggage assistance). This role also delivers the brand experience as it relates to fitness and wellness by engaging guests with expertise at the Wellness Wall and wellness facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Returns:

  • Manages day-to-day operations and assignments of the team; schedule, plan, and assign work
  • Achieves budgeted revenues, control labor costs & expenses, and maximize profitability within all areas assigned
  • Manages front office team to ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and receive prompt, professional attention and personal recognition
  • Assists in managing hotel revenue generation and maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes, and specifications such as up-selling strategies and techniques
  • Remains current on brand, wellness, nutrition and industry information required to deliver the EVEN Hotels programs and services
  • Ensures billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner
  • Manages the process of cash and credit card transactions according to standard operating procedures, including posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposit, and counting/securing assigned bank

People:

  • Assists in the attracting and hiring of people with the right attributes to bring the EVEN Hotels brand to life
  • Actively promotes employee participation in the Employee Satisfaction Pulse Survey and helps achieve established targets
  • Drives high team performance and achievement goals and objectives by establishing clear performance goals and expectations, and being actively involved in team’s performance and development through direct feedback, coaching, and training
  • Inspires the team by living the brand, embracing holistic wellness, keeping in tune with the latest in information on health and nutrition, and encouraging them to do the same
  • Ensures the team is properly trained and provided the tools and equipment needed and directs them to resources to learn more about health, wellness, and nutrition

Guest Experience:

  • Responds appropriately to guest complaints and implements appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Demonstrates Brand-Hearted leadership by putting the brand at the center of all business decisions
  • Interacts daily with guests in ways that brings the brand to life
  • Seeks and uses guest feedback to build relationships with guests, and drives continuous improvement in guest satisfaction
  • Ensures that special needs and requests of guests, VIPs, and IHG Rewards Club Members are fulfilled

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably 2 years Front Office/Guest Service experience including management experience
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Flexible work schedule
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
