Job Overview
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively communicates with team members, including the Food and Beverage Manager and F&B team members
- Conducts performance evaluations and implements disciplinary actions as required.
- Reviews and manages department schedules to ensure staff is supported and business needs are being met.
- Ensures coordination of orders, including special allergies, and specialty amenities.
- Supports and sometimes creates event-specific functions for groups or meetings, which may involve menu planning, room configuration, etc…
- Manages vendor relationships and communication.
- Ensures food sanitation codes and health department standards are consistently met. Responds swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety-related situation.
- Effectively manages systems and processes to handle guest requests, concerns and complaints, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions.
- Attends all required leadership meetings (labor, Resume, Budget) as determined by the Food and Beverage Manager, as well as, handles all inventory reporting.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- May be assigned other duties at the discretion of management.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
As a member of the management team, may be required to support other departments during peak business levels.
Qualifications/Skills:

Essential:
1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.
2. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
3. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
4. Professional attitude, and verbiage in the workplace
5. Comfortable speaking with guests, and effectively anticipating guest needs.

7. Must demonstrate strong Leadership, and communication skills. Set an example with Assistant Managers, employees and guests.
8. Knowledge in POS systems. Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS), Excel, Word and Power Point
9. Basic financial skills, including budget, forecast and labor projections. Ability to interpret and utilize basic business data.
10. Ability to work flexible schedule (AM, PM, Overnight, Weekends & Holidays).
Desirable:
1. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent vocational training.
2. Three to Five years’ experience in as similar role.
3. Hotel and Luxury property experience, a plus.
4. Ability to manage a large, diverse and unionized workforce, a plus.
Essential Physical Abilities:
- Physical Job Requirements: Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying
- 50% of the shift: Lifting trays, moving various carts, dollies or trash cans.
- Bending/Kneeling 25% of the shift to reach items stored in cabinets and minibars.
- Climbing 5% of shift: Stairs and ladders.
- Mobility: 100% of the shift walking several hundred feet at a time, standing, bending, or kneeling periodically.
- Continuous Standing: Standing while in waiting for guest to arrive.
- Must be able to see the physical condition of designated areas.
- Must be able to read, write orders and use a point of sale system.
- Ability to work with cleaning agent 15% of the shift.
- Protective Clothing: May wear gloves when cleaning.
- One-on-one communication with guest, managers and fellow employees.
- Must be able to read and generate reports, guest correspondence, and computer screens.
- Work environment, Inside: 90% of time on property. Outside: 10% of time on property.
