Serving Buffalo fliers since 1952, Delaware North provides food, beverage, and retail services at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. An array of local and national brands and restaurants are part of the airport’s award-winning traveler experience including the Anchor Bar, Tim Hortons, Bocce Club, and Burger FI.
- Supervise food prep maintaining quality, presentation, and sanitation standards, while verifyingrecipes, portion sizes, quality standards, departmental rules, polices and procedures are maintained.
- Assist in the hiring process while effectively training, managing, and leading team members. Provide performance feedback and corrective action when required, ensuring a high quality of service is delivered with a positive team member and guest experience
- Coordinate and supervise activities of commissary associates
- Purchase, receive and distribute commissary items, verify receiving slips and invoices
- Prepare cost and operational reporting, verify the reporting of cash handling, sales, payroll accounting, and produce monthly commissary inventory reports
- Monitor product quality and follow departmental guidelines when controlling cost and waste
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding alcohol and sanitation
- Ensure equipment maintenance is completed when necessary and operation areas are always running successfully
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Food and Beverage manager or restaurant manager required
- Prior experience in a commissary or warehouse setting relating to Food and Beverage storage is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and inventory control procedures, with an understanding of standard Food and Beverage equipment operation
- No college degree required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic organizational and mathematical abilities
