Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Program Operations will support the Director of Program Operations with the day-to-day management of ETTA's community-based and residential services programs, with specific emphasis on Supported Living Services including the supervision, training, and motivation of 3+ program managers. The Assistant Director of Program Operations provides department oversight and ensures that ETTA's person-centered standards of quality service maintain as the highest priority. In partnership with the Director of Program Operations, the Assistant Director of Program Operations is responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, implementing, promoting, and monitoring of all ETTA regional center-funded, self-determination, and private pay supported living services. The Assistant Director will provide direction to enable management to efficiently utilize time and resources to aid the agency in setting and maintaining high quality standards for service and staff performance.
Duties include:
- Liaise with Regional Center to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Develop and coordinate practice and protocol for case management including conducting caseload audits on a regular basis.
- Ensure that managers collect, and report client/program data and prepare accurate and meaningful individual service plans no less than bi-annually.
- Support program managers to make certain that ISP goals and objectives are prioritized and met and/or revised as needed.
- Lead quality assurance meetings and trainings.
- Conduct Program Managers' annual performance reviews.
- Act as an advocate for ETTA clients, families, direct support professionals and program managers.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Training Coordinator on the development of meaningful, ongoing training for DSPs related to the specific needs of individuals receiving Supported Living Services.
- Participate in ETTA Leadership meetings as assigned.
- Meet at least weekly with Director of Program Operations to report on program status.
- Perform regular quality assurance checks of the billing and payroll process to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to annual budget development and monitor department financial statements to ensure operation of the department within budget.
- Respond to critical calls and communication outside of typical business hours including evenings and weekends.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's level, social services-related, and/or meaningful experience with persons with developmental disabilities.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in developmental and intellectual disability field.
- Solid knowledge of Person-Centered Thinking and Planning practices.
- An understanding of the Self-determination program.
- Experience with Regional Center funding requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Familiarity with Home & Community-based services Federal mandate.
- Working knowledge of non-profits.
- Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to multi-task.
- Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and assessment skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
