Job Description

I. POSITION TITLE: Assistant Director of Transportation Services

II. PROGRAM COMPONENT: BGCAP Transit

III. SUPERVISOR: Senior Director of Transportation Services

IV. JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Senior Director with the overall responsibility of the BGCAP Transit Program. Provides the proper implementation, supervision, management, and coordination of the program consistent with goals, objectives, including sound fiscal, administrative and personnel procedures.

V. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitors overall day-to-day operations of the Agency Transportation program, including administrative and driver operations.

2. Provides technical assistance and support to staff when needed.

3. Assists the Senior Director of Transportation Services with grants or proposals to maintain and expand Regional Transportation Services.

4. Assists in ensuring that all administrative functions, including planning, reporting, budget review, program monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy efforts are achieved.

5. Responsible for implementation of effective fiscal management.

6. Promotes, markets, and performs public relations tasks, including overseeing social media communications and attending events that promote the Whole Family Approach.

7. Negotiates contracts and interacts with contractors.

8. Interacts with State Funding sources and pursues new sources of program funding under the direction of the Senior Director of Transportation Services.

9. Oversees reports and records of all agency vehicle and liability insurance claims.

10. Assist with communication and direction in the implementation of new programs.

11. Secure and maintain the necessary skill level in technology systems and software required for program delivery.

12. Supervise and evaluate staff and make recommendations relative to the assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
