ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- In collaboration with direct service staff, prepare and submit all programmatic reports. Specifically, KOR reports, quarterly USCCB reports, in addition to reports from other funding sources. For smaller programmatic reports, the Assistant Director archives and edits prior to submission to Director for final approval.
- Develops and maintains MRS protocols and procedures consistent with Catholic Charities policies and grants guidelines. Such required documents will include training plans, service plans, etc.
- In conjunction with Catholic Charities Development department and direct reports, conducts and oversees outreach activities as required by MRS grants.
- Signatory in absentia for director for monthly financial reports, initial budget requests, match grant direct assistance requests, purchase order requests, and credit card reconciliation.
- Assist staff to formalize Standard Operating Procedures for MRS staff positions.
- Supervises Safe Release Services and Home Safety Post Release Services Program staff.
- Supervises MRS administrative staff.
- Supervises Community Engagement team.
- Coordinates with MRS Management Team to facilitate learnings, training and other support as needed by MRS staff.
- Works to incubate and grow emerging programs through direct supervision of such programs.
- In conjunction with the development department and other key stakeholders, composes grant applications as needed.
- Works with external partners to support existent programming and expand necessary services. Works with granting agency programmatic staff to ensure compliance with grant expectations.
- Other related tasks as assigned by the Director.
The Assistant Director is a member of the Senior Management team within Migration and Refugee Services Department, a department of Catholic Charities of Louisville, Inc. The position reports directly to the Director of Migration and Refugee Services. The Assistant Director is expected to be familiar with all operations of MRS including grants and protocols to assist in leading the programmatic operations of the department, write programmatic reports, and monitor compliance of the department within the guidelines of funding sources. The Assistant Director supervises administrative and community engagement staff in addition to providing supervision to emerging programs. The Assistant Director, as a member of the Migration and Refugee Services management team, participates and contributes to strategic planning and implementation of department wide objectives.
Salary $63,000 a year
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This work is performed in an office setting with moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people moving about.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Preferred to have a minimum of three years’ experience in managing federal or state funded programs.
