Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 lbs.; and some job-related travel.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Some evenings, nights, and/or weekends may be required in order to meet job and departmental business needs.
Job Summary
UK HealthCare (UKHC) is seeking an experienced healthcare professional for an Assistant Director of Operations. This position will be accountable for efficient, effective delivery of professional services required to support the UK Healthcare Enterprise/Kentucky Children’s Hospital. This role requires frequent interaction, collaboration, planning, and cooperation with senior level UKHC leadership and stakeholders required to develop and deliver projects that ensure goals across all institutions are met. This position will operate in a matrixed organization that requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate for this position will have healthcare operations experience. Key functions for this position require leadership abilities specifically related to the development, management, and execution of healthcare operations processes. The ability to communicate effectively across various platforms with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, as well as the ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.

Preferred Education/Experience
In addition to a Master’s degree, the ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years of similar healthcare operations experience, including budget and project management, data analytics, financial reporting, and healthcare compliance requirements including Joint Commission standards.
