The Role:
As the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you'll be a key player in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable dining experience. Collaborate with an energetic team, manage diverse outlets, and contribute to the creation of magical moments at Belmont Park!
What will you do:
Leadership and Management:
- Oversee various roles within the Food and Beverage Departments, such as Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Kitchen Staff.
- Manage multiple Food and Beverage outlets within Belmont Park.
- Report to park management and ensure guests receive the highest level of Food quality and service.
- Select, train, schedule, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees and managers in the Belmont Park full-service restaurants and fast casual outlets.
Training and Development:
- Establish and maintain new training programs for all positions within the Food and Beverage departments, emphasizing the theme park's unique needs.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and evolve services to stay current with industry trends and maintain the park's reputation for outstanding service.
- Consistently maintain and refine service standards that align with the theme park’s unique atmosphere and guest expectations.
- Implement well-planned cross-training programs to develop unit management, considering the unique requirements of a theme park environment.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the Culinary team and LBW Manager to design effective menus and Beverage offerings that align with the park's themes and cater to the park's diverse visitor base.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments, with a focus on entertainment and park operations.
Financial Management and Inventory:
- Develop the budget and marketing plan specific to the theme park's Food & Beverage Department.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control, while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions tailored to the park's visitors.
- Correlate outlet profit and loss (P&L) data and financial information monthly to ensure cost control and profitability.
- Supervise end-of-month (EOM) inventories of FOH managers and BOH chefs, coordinating with the Food and Beverage and LBW Manager to ensure efficient inventory management.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver budget reports, forecasts, and data analytics to park senior management.
- Respond properly in any park emergency or safety situation, considering the unique circumstances of a theme park.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by park management and staff, with a clear understanding of the park's operational requirements
What will you need to bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality/Restaurant Management or equivalent field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food and Beverage.
- Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
- Exceptional skills in budgeting, expense management, inventory, payroll, staffing, marketing, and PL management.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, even in challenging situations.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights during peak times.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
