Position Information
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Human Resources, Public Health, Business or related fields or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience working in student leadership, development, programming, and implementation.
- Experience leading groups in instruction.
- Must have skills in program coordination, facilitation, and independent decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse faculty, staff, students and professionals on campus and in the broader community.
- Knowledge and effective application of student and leadership development theories.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with community and campus partners.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for information management, working with databases, social networking tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations (cultural competency).
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, nights and/or weekends as necessary to support programs.
- Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Human Resources, Public Health, Business or related fields.
- Experience in fund raising and/or grant writing.
- Develop and maintain the Community Engagement and Leadership program.
- Work with administrators, faculty, and staff to cultivate, manage, and grow our leadership initiatives and experiential learning opportunities, with goals to enhance the overall student experience.
- Design and implement programs that build student leadership and enhance their inter-professional educational experience. Maintain student involvement and campus partners’ databases for research, data reporting, and strategic planning purposes.
