Job description

The Center for Career Exploration and Success (CCES) in the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) at Miami University seeks an Assistant Director for Employer Relations. This position works collaboratively to effectively deliver comprehensive employer development and engagement services. The position will spearhead Employer Relations efforts for the following Career Clusters: 1) Arts, Communication, Media & Design 2) Education, Nonprofit, & Human Services and 3) Law and Government.
CCES is a growing office with an ambitious strategic plan designed to situate students for lifelong professional success. Our efforts in collaboration with Miami’s Career Community, extend beyond the typical career center offerings as we strive to be the most immersive and comprehensive 4-year career development experience in the nation.

Maintains current Employer Relationships and works actively to promote the recruitment of Miami University students through direct contact with employers. Works collaboratively with the CCES career advising team to engage employers in educational programming and recruiting events. Coordinates outreach efforts with University offices such as Advancement, Admission, and the Alumni Association as needed. As a member of the CCES Employer Relations Team, cultivate and steward sponsorships for existing events and programs.
Under the direction of the Director of Employer Relations, implements key aspects of the university's central recruitment program, including the identification and cultivation of employers in a wide range of industries, sectors, and geographies.
Advises employers on marketing strategies that will help them build their brands on campus and increase loyalty to Miami University and its students. Engage employers in CCES activities for designated career clusters including Arts, Communication, Media & Design, Law & Government, and Education, Non-Profit & Human Services. Responsible for maintaining, educating, and enforcing employer recruitment policies and follow-up with stakeholders as issues arise.
Support programming and outreach to under-served student populations as assigned and in collaboration with Career Center staff focused on this initiative.
In collaboration with career advisors, works with academic departments, Deans, Chairs, faculty, University Advancement, and other University staff to help foster connections to employers and to expand experiential and employment opportunities for students. Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date employer invitation list for large career events (i.e. career fairs).
Supports the collection, analysis, and reporting of data regarding recruiting activities, job placements, and salaries.
Assist in the coordination of office-wide special events, programs, workshops, and Career fairs, and other events as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with at least one to three years of experience
