Oversees functional areas of the campus Student Services operations to include designated areas. Provides appropriate training to staff and faculty on related topics and recommends and assists with the development and maintenance of procedures and goals.
- Guides, leads, reviews, verifies, observes, and manages the work of people reporting directly and indirectly to you. Develops and trains staff. Performs needs analysis, arranges, coordinates, delivers, evaluates, and monitors staff development.
- Manages and oversees the campus student disciplinary process. Adjudicates student disciplinary cases.
- Liaison among departments, functions or groups, within the College. Communicates information to appropriate personnel.
- Manages requests from parents and students regarding program, transfers, complaints, and discipline. May conduct workshops with parents regarding College and program information requirements.
- Develops and maintains positive relations with the community to promote College partnerships and collaboration. May include working with various groups to bring diversity into the College.
- Works collaboratively with College administration to ensure effective attainment of College and campus goals, objectives, and development initiatives. Develops policy recommendations for consideration and adoption.
- Maintains a campus climate in support of multicultural diversity that promotes academic achievement and professional and personal development for administration, faculty, staff and students.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of non-instructional programs. Develops and implements changes and special technological projects as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of field and profession. Travels to training workshops, conferences, meetings and professional association events outside of college locations as needed.
- Develops mid-range plans to deal with specific circumstances including goals, objectives, priorities and recommendations.
- Designs, develops, and implements programs on a broad spectrum of topics to a variety of populations within the college. Evaluates programs that have been implemented.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree within specific subject area related to the position
- Four years of related experience, to include experience in counseling students, and experience in higher education management
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Thinking strategically, effectively analyzing data, and implementing data-informed decisions
