Job Summary

Oversee administrative operations of the Dean's office which may include supervision of administrative staff, financial record keeping and reporting, coordination of communications, event planning and human resources administration. May serve on various committees and/or task forces at the direction of the Dean. This position will interact on a consistent basis with faculty, staff and administrative staff, President and Provost offices, corporate representatives, and other contacts with university systems. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty and staff. This position will supervise: May supervise administrative staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Communicate and interpret administrative policies; develop internal office related procedures as appropriate.
Job Duty 2 - Coordinate the Dean's schedule and monitor and report status on major initiatives.
Job Duty 3 - Develop agenda and plan and coordinate meetings, conferences and events.
Job Duty 4 - Typically supervise administrative staff, to include training, making assignments and monitoring performance.
Job Duty 5 - Track documentation requiring Dean's signature.
Job Duty 6 - Prepare financial related reports and maintain records.
Job Duty 7 - Coordinate human resources related actions.
Job Duty 8 - Coordinate travel schedules and itineraries.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Six years of job related experience

Proposed Salary

Salary Range: $61,755 - $83,990

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of office and operational practices and procedures applicable within higher education administration at the executive level. This includes skills in organization, communications, problem solving and use of office and specialized computer applications.
