Position: Assistant Controller
Location: Irwindale, CA

Job Description
The Assistant Controller is responsible for supporting accounting management, formulating internal controls and policies, preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting. This position includes administrative and accounting goals, the plans to meet those goals, working with other employees as necessary, and the follow-up required to ensure the department is moving forward at all times as directed. The position reports to the Controller while assisting the Vice President of Finance and the Executive team as required.

Job Description:
The Assistant Controller will have the following responsibilities:
· Manage, lead, and support accounting personnel with day-to-day operations. Responsible for the oversight of the following:

o Accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and cash management
o Payroll tax reporting
o Sales Tax Reporting – monthly prepayment and quarterly report
o Bank and merchant reconciliations
o Maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger, items listing
o Report and analyze monthly metrics and operating budget
o Contract administration for project contracts pertaining to accounting/finance functions
o Collaborate with staff to support overall goals, objectives and develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
· Recognize anomalies in trends and audit as necessary
· Collaborate with the Controller to develop annual budgets, perform month end closing and year-end functions and formulate department objectives

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
