DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out all aspects of the program necessary to accomplish the objectives of the sport within the university, the athletic department, WHAC and NAIA contexts
- Assists with the recruitment and retention of highly skilled student-athletes
- Orients and enforces student-athletes' adherence to the policies and regulations of the university and athletic department
- Assists with coordination of all travel arrangements
- Prepares and conducts practices
- Administers the off-season training program
- Provides special training for individual team members as required
- Seeks to build relationships of influence with team members that positively impacts their spiritual and personal growth as followers of Jesus Christ
- Other duties may be assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred with successful experience in coaching and/or playing
- Good organizational, communication and coordination skill essential
- Ability to work well under deadlines and high pressure situations
- Ability to recruit student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success
- Represent Cornerstone University in a Christ-like, professional manner to many different internal and external constituencies, consistently exhibits enthusiasm toward the institution

- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment.
- A theology and Christian worldview that supports the values and mission of Cornerstone University evidenced by an ability to affirm and sign the university's doctrinal statement, "The Cornerstone Confession."
- Enthusiastically embrace the Cornerstone University Identity, Mission and Vision statements.
- Physical requirements include the ability to navigate our physical campus, use computers, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
SALARY AND START DATE:
- Start Date: As soon as possible. Review of candidates will begin immediately. You will be contacted if you are selected for an interview.
- Salary: The stipend paid for this part-time role will be discussed with interview candidates. Please note that part-time assistant coaches are not eligible for benefits.
