Assistant Category Manager - Fresh Produce

We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager, looking after Fresh Produce to join our awesome Merchandise team.  Reporting to the Category Manager, you'll be responsible for a number of products across Fresh produce which means you'll:

       Build relationships with store owners, and suppliers to support sales and margin growth

       Look after daily sales to your stores including offering deals and help to grow sales across the overall produce department

       Start the day at 6:00am, work a Saturday and be on call on a Sunday once a month

 

Ideally you'll come from a background in buying or from a store and experience in FMCG or Fresh Produce would be beneficial so you can hit the ground running.  You'll also:

       Be good with numbers, data and analysis with the ability to multitask and have an eye for detail. 

       Have excellent planning and communication skills

       Be able to easily interact with people from various backgrounds and build robust relationships

       Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and thrive on working with a constantly changing seasonal supply where you need to be agile and act quickly
