Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to support the Category Manager and the category business team by tracking sales trends, reviewing margin, monitoring inventory turns, coordinating product distribution, and the preparation of category reviews.Essential FunctionsProvide detailed analysis of assigned category performance including areas of product assortment, pricing, promotions, and price changesCreate and maintain reports to track performance and identify opportunities against established metricsManage the flow of vendor funding from planning through the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processesAssist in the oversight of the category profit and loss (P&L)Assist in developing annual category business plan and participate in presentation to senior leadershipUtilize company data and reporting systems to identify and create action plans for store level opportunitiesOversee a project from idea phase through in-store implementation, including execution of total merchandising, distribution, creative, suggested order set-up, etc.Maintain active communication with operations regarding initiatives and opportunitiesParticipate in vendor negotiations; develop negotiation skills with supervisionMaintain competitive analysis, including competitive store and market visitsModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification requiredBachelor’s degree in retail or business preferredMinimum two years’ retail or similar experience preferredSpecialized KnowledgeIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsCompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to analyze, think critically, and problem solveAbility to work independently or collaboratively within a groupAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to think creatively and identify new solutionsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to communicate professionally with all corporate levels, vendors, and customersComfortable with changing technologyAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Travel required less than 25% (overnight may be required)29861
