The MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Audit Manager (Fiscal Services Administrator V) within the Office of Finance at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Management of MAA's Internal Audit Activity which includes conducting fiscal, compliance, operational, performance, economy and efficiency, and program audits.
- Preparing and implementing risk-based annual audit plans.
- Reviewing legislative audit reports in conjunction with management.
- Performing audits of revenue and expenditure contracts.
- Performing special audits, investigations, complex analysis, and reconciliations, as requested.
- Performing post audits to determine if corrective actions have been taken.
- Analyzing and interpreting various financial and statistical reports to enhance business operations.
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university including a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university supplemented by thirty credit hours in accounting and related courses.
Experience: Five years of progressive experience in conducting financial, compliance, operational, and program audits. Three years of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with thirty credit hours in Accounting and related courses, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing for the required education.
2. Applicants who have met the requirements for admission to the CPA examination prior to July 1, 1974 will be considered to have met the educational requirement referenced above.
3. Possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or a Master's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in the Accounting Officer classification or Financial Management specialty codes in the Accounting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.To Apply:
