Ogee has an immediate opening for an Assistant Accountant who will provide accounting support to the Director of Finance with a focus on the rapidly growing wholesale channel.
Ogee is a luxury, certified organic, sustainable beauty brand headquartered in Burlington, Vermont. The position is part-time (25-30 hours per week) with full-time possibility. Preference is given to Vermont based employees. However, out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply as well.
The ideal candidate must be tech-savvy, a quick learner and proactive problem solver. He/she has a passion for working with numbers and large data spreadsheets, auditing results, and improving and streamlining processes.
- Assists with bookkeeping tasks and participates in monthly closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Processes accounts receivable transactions including customer invoices, credit memos and payments.
- Monitors accounts receivable and resolves remittance delays and discrepancies.
- Prepares detailed financial reports for wholesale channel including complex revenue and COGS calculations per customer.
- Assists with ad hoc accounting projects and analyses.
- BA degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience
- QBO certification
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience with ecommerce, bill.com, NetSuite, inventory and cost accounting a plus.
