Dhara Consulting Group is Hiring an Asset Manager Near Washington, DC
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Hardware Asset Manager to manage over 15,000 IT Hardware Assets, as well as a centralized asset repository to account for the custody. billing, and status of all governed assets throughout each asset's lifecycle. This position will be located in Washington D.C. and will be a 100% onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Manage acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets
- Define and document asset tracking processes, policies, procedures, SOPs and knowledge articles, and ensure compliance across the organization
- Establish quality assurance and quality control processes and ensure compliance across the organization
- Ensure all hardware assets are recorded, tracked, and reported
- Manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding warranties for the organization's hardware assets
- Integrate asset management with additional business functions and systems
- Implement and follow best practices for asset and risk assessment
- Manage, develop, and direct the work of Asset Management staff members
- Monitor vendor, industry trends and operations; assess the impact asset management has on the organization
- Ensure standard requirements, responsibilities and expectations are met, and escalate all non-standard or out-of-scope customer requests for LOE assessment and approval before taking action
- Document internal controls to properly secure and account for computer assets to prevent theft or misplacement
- Report equipment stock status, discrepancies, and potential asset shortages to ensure accurate and timely order and receipt of needed assets
- Ensure weekly physical stock inventories are completed, gap analyses conducted, and gaps remediated for all sites
- Update, communicate, and ensure compliance of process changes as customer needs and direction adjust
- Ensure timely equipment preparation to fulfill service requests within agreed timelines, and timely and accurate processing of orders
- Continuously review and maintain inventory record accuracy Review and assign tickets and/or tasks for timely completion; monitor progress and ensure tickets and tasks meet performance metricsQualifications
- Minimum 6 years' direct staff management experience in a corporate environment
- Minimum 6 years' experience in IT hardware asset management; project management and IT procurement experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and possess the capability to drive change
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be able to handle pressure· Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial
- Must be a problem solver and innovator. Must possess strong computer skills - proficient in Excel to analyze large volumes of data. Experience with statistical analysis a plus.
- Some moderately heavy lifting (computers, monitors, printers, etc.) is required
- Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain a Public Trust Suitability
High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $94,150.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
