Job description

As an Assessment & Learning Asset Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in the development and refinement of our educational products. Working closely with the Solution Owner, Product Managers, and the product team, you will contribute to the coordination, quality control practices, and publishing processes for the assessment and Learning Assets for our K-12 classroom assessment product. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring alignment, quality, and efficacy of educational materials that meet academic standards and the diverse needs of the learners, educators, and leaders we serve. This operational position requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail, with a preferred strong background in teaching .

Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management and Organization: Assist in the management and organization of a diverse array of assessment and Learning Assets in math, ELA, science, and social studies, ensuring they are properly catalogued and configured.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks at various stages of the asset development and delivery processes, to ensure accuracy, alignment with educational standards, and adherence to the product's vision.
  • Alignment Coordination: Facilitate and support the processes of the team’s alignment of learning and assessment materials with state and national standards and configuration for the delivery of aligned materials, ensuring our product meets educational requirements and goals.
  • System Input: Provide critical input on assessment and Learning Asset development and delivery processes, offering insights that will enhance the educational impact of our materials, informed by your experience and understanding of effective teaching and learning materials, resources, and strategies.
  • Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive product guides for customers, internal and external documentation for the product team, and internal and external presentation materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product team and cross-functional teams including content creators, designers, and technical team members to ensure the seamless integration of assessment and Learning Assets into our products.
  • Feedback Implementation: Assist with incorporating feedback from educators, students, and internal reviews to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our assets, leveraging your insights into teaching and learning.
  • Versatile Support Across Functions: Engage in a broad range of support activities to bolster the product team's efforts, including undertaking ad-hoc projects, aiding in
  • cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to creative problem-solving sessions. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting the team's diverse needs and driving the product's success forward.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other related duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the product team and contributing to the achievement of our mission through flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Assessment, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in educational content development, assessment design, or a similar role, with a preference for candidates who have teaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of educational standards, assessment methodologies, and learning theories, preferably enriched by firsthand teaching experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and digital asset management tools.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring insights about effective teaching and learning materials, resources, and strategies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
