ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Preparing a compressor for testing operation, paying close attention to detail
· Using a hoist to life and move parts.
· Using hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, impact, and dial indicator.
· Select proper diagnostic procedures on computerized testing workstation.
· Activates compressor and begin diagnostic tests.
· Running the test heat run, performance test, vibration, and test report.
· Operator uses both sight and sound to detect problems during both heat run and performance tests.
· Paperwork, serial number, job number, and basic computer understanding.
· Paperwork and test report organization.
· Complete final inspection before shipping.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to fill out daily labor reports.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and the employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to feel or handle parts and occasionally to kneel or crouch during operation. The employee must on occasion lift 10 to 20 pounds and use force to manipulate box wrenches, screw drivers, and pipe wrenches. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Employee will repeatedly use hearing to detect problems.
