Position Summary
Utilize various hand tools, pneumatic tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to assemble a variety of sheet metal aircraft components and structures into major assemblies per instructions and blueprint drawings. Inspect completed work for conformance to Production Planning, verbal and written instructions, sketches and specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, following blueprint station lines and index points. Verifies fitting tolerances, using measuring instruments, such as gauges and calipers
- Drills, reams, and countersinks holes in subassemblies, and bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens subassemblies into structural assembly, using hand tools and Pneumatic tools.
- Installs parts and components. May specialize in assembling and installing parts, structural components, and subassemblies to build assemblies and detail parts.
- Locates holes to be drilled in structural assembly for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Six months of assembly experience and/or work in a manufacturing setting.
