Job Description
SUMMARY
In this position you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical assemblies and products by performing the following duties.
DOE M-F 7am - 4pm OT on occasion
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
**Skills needed primarily in the mechanical assembly field - electrical assembly skills are a secondary plus**
- Responsible for assembly from stock components to final testing
- Read and interpret assembly schematics and drawings along with following work instructions to build electromechanical assemblies from component parts
- Accurately layout, assemble and/or wire DC tool and controller assemblies to drawings and/or work instructions
- Evaluate assemblies for workmanship and quality
- Perform testing procedures, record data, and prepare certification per work instructions
- Work with the Engineering team on new product rollout

Skills
- Intermediate trouble shooting ability on electrical and/or mechanical equipment
- High attention to quality and appearance of finished product
- Read and evaluate engineering drawings and specifications
- Apply a mechanical aptitude to solve problems
- Experience in using torque and electrical measurement devices
- Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
- Electrical or mechanical assembly skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel and time reporting software
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Two to Four years related experience working with hand tools
